Emily Dankworth graduated with an MMus in Jazz Performance from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2013; Emily is now amongst London’s top emerging musical talents.  Emily’s standout performing ability is highly unique, likely given the diversity of her musical upbringing; travelling between Europe and USA during her career.

“Emily has a lovely, natural quality to her voice that has an alluring purity. I look forward to seeing where she goes with this musically.”

– Phil Robson (Guitarist and Composer)

Given Emily’s musical heritage – granddaughter to Dame Cleo Laine and the late Sir John Dankworth as well as niece to Jacqui Dankworth  and daughter to Alec Dankworth  – it is no surprise that she has her forte in music.

“Emily’s contribution to the album works beautifully on the simply Spanish folk tunes”

– Basho Records
